Q. Can I be a member of FORC?
A. Only patients past and present, together with nominated family and friends can be members.
Q. Can I help raise funds for FORC and the Renal and Diabetes Unit?
A. Yes of course, and thank you! Anyone can help raise funds for the cause. We are a registered charity and everyone involved gives their time for free. You can rest assured all money raised goes to benefit patients.
Q. What kind of things do you do to raise money?
A: All sorts! As well as kindly accepting donations and bequeaths, we hold social fundraisers, monthly stalls in the main hospital building, sell cakes and books. We also benefit from corporate support – for example we have been Barclays bank nominated charity
Q. Where can I go for help?
A: A team of specialist nurses works at the Renal & Diabetes Unit at Glan Clwyd who can help you. You are also more than welcome to approach any Friends of Renal Care committee member, or ask at the unit’s front desk
